The Amazing Strandbeests

For the past 21 years, Dutch artist Theo Jansen has devoted himself to constructing ‘animals’ that can walk on the beach powered only by the wind.

In 1990, he began building large mechanisms out of PVC that are able to move on their own, known as Strandbeests, which means “beach animals” in Dutch. His animated works are intended to be a fusion of art and engineering. Theo believes that, “The walls between art and engineering exist only in our minds.”

Aston Martin Vulcan Test Drive

Jeremy Clarkson of‘s The Grand Tour, managed to test drive the Aston Martin Vulcan a few months ago.

He shows us what Vulcan owners receive when they buy their $2.4 Million hypercar! What they get for that price tag, in addition to the car itself, is an all-expenses paid trip to a track of their choice, along with a team of Aston Martin technicians, that are on hand for assistance, giving the lucky driver a chance to drive the car at full power.

With over 800 hp courtesy of the 7.0-liter V12, the Vulcan blasts from 0-60 mph in no more than 2.9 seconds, with a top speed of 224 mph.
